Guo Cheng is an artist currently based in Shanghai. His practice mainly focuses on exploring the interrelation between mainstream/emerging technologies and individuals under the context of nature and social life. His recent exhibition includes the artworks Notes from Pallet Town (UCCA Dune, Beidaihe, 2019), Machines Are Not Alone: A Machinic Trilogy (Chronus Art Center, Shanghai, 2018), Shanghai Beat (Contemporary Art Museum, Kumamoto, 2018). Cheng was awarded with the Special Jury Prize of Huayu Youth Award (Sanya, 2018) and the BAD Award (The Netherlands, 2017).
