Stephanie Dick

Stephanie Dick is an Assistant Professor in History and Sociology of Science at the University of Pennsylvania. She holds a PhD in History of Science from Harvard University. Stephanie works on the history of computing, mathematics, and artificial intelligence. Her current book project Making Up Minds: Computing, Proof, and AI in the Postwar United States examines historical efforts to automate mathematical proof. Dick also studies the early introduction of computer databasing to American policing.
