Nelly Y. Pinkrah is a cultural and media theorist as well as a political activist engaged in different political projects. She is a research assistant at Leuphana University, Lüneburg, writing a thesis on Édouard Glissant and Cybernetics. In 2013, she co-organized the annual conference of the German Society for Media Studies, and since November 2013 she has been working at the Centre for Digital Cultures. Her areas of interest include: Digital media, technology, political thoughts and practices, black feminist theory, decoloniality, cultural history.
